Café Gitane - in Mott Street, perfect organic breakfasts and lunches.

The Meatball Shop - so good, the best casual diner but be prepared to line up! It's definitely worth the wait and don't leave without their cookbook!
Beauty and Essex – I love this place, it's so NYC and a surprise when you arrive. You walk through a little pawn shop at the rear door and a bouncer stands by to lead you to the grand salon behind. Exquisite design and delicious food.
